🌾Live in Village?!🌿
Our school, SMAN 3 Bandung, held a program called 'Bakti Desa' anually. This program basically about us, students, living in some village and 'be the villager' there. This year's program is held in the Cibeureum Village.
It took us about 3 hours to reach the village by rented transportation. When we reached the village, they gathered us in the Village Hall to do the opening ceremony. After the (honestly boring) opening, they gave us food for lunch and we ate there. We also brought and collected our old books for the kids there.
After that, we left the hall and when to our foster home. We were guided by a middle-age woman and Mrs. Diden as our homeroom teacher. My foster home, along with 3 of my friends, is past the alley. The alley is really small. We found out that actually our foster house was the farthest from the our other classmates house.
We finally arrived at our foster house. In front of our house there are a pool, and a small mosque. We entered the house then Mrs. Diden had a small talk with our foster mom, Mrs. Lis. We were so lucky to have Mrs. Lis as our foster mom, she was so caring. She also has 2 grandchild. They are Dzikra and Dzikri, they also called Babang and Kakak. After having a small conversation with Mrs. Lis, we went to some field to play football with some kids there. After that we also went to a hill in front of Village Hall. We climbed there and played a bit. It was raining so we ran back home and pray at the mosque in front of our house. After having a really fun day, we helped one of our friends there, Sintia, to do her homework.
After that, we went to Ms. Yusi's house, our friend's foster mother, and together there to discuss what we would do tomorrow because we remembered the work of our parents, housewives and drivers so we decided to find out what problems there were in Cibeureum Village this. Then go home to rest.
The next day, we did our morning routine such as pray, took a bath, and also had breakfast. After that we visit Ms. Yusi's house again. Actually we were there to discuss about where to go with our friends. We decided to go to Situ Cisanti with the rest of our classmate.
We then went to Situ Cisanti using a pick up car. After we arrived, we played there, had a walk, taking picture, etc. We also eat together since our foster mom brought us food, so we did some kind of picnic there. After that we had a walk around again then went home by walking. Not really because my friends accidentally left me and Anais by went home with pick up car. So it was tiring for me and her because we walked about 2 or 3 km.
After we arrived, we took bath then went to the hall to do some activities. It was a cultural activities. We needed to do 4 activities. Because I am part of student council, I had to do my job to assist all of the students. It was so tiring because the students were all rebels duh. After all of the drama, we went back home.
In the evening, we shared some basic food to the villagers. After we finished that, we went to a mosque and prayed there. We also joined the kids to ngaji. After the lesson finished, we donated our preloved clothes to the children who attended the recitation. All clothes has run out after 45 minutes. We ensure that children take appropriate clothes and according to body size. Because it's too late, we go home. We didn't go straight to bed, we ate snacks and watched TV with our foster father.
The next day, we did our morning routine again. Then, because I am a part of student council, we had a task to do. It was distributing books we already collected in the first day to the schools around us. We had a lot stare given, after all we were from town. They thought we are different than them. But thats okay.
After we finished that, we gathered with our friends to discuss where to go. We finally decided to go to a river called Ciendog. We had a really long journey full of laugh, trip, and dirt lol. But it was worth it. We then played in the river. Then we went back home because it was already time to go home, to our real home.
After we took a bath, we then had an emotional farewell, yup lol I exaggerated it. But it was really sad): Mom (Mrs. Lis) even gave us a doll for souvenir for us to not forget her. Kaka even cried):
After that we went to Village Hall to wait for our transportation. We went back to Bandung at 2 pm with public transportation and arrived in 3 senior high school at 5 pm. It took a long time because of traffic.
Bakdes was really fun. I got a lot of moment to remember, also lot of experience. Hopefully I can go back there to visit Mom, Kaka, Babang, and many more. Bye for now, Cibereum.
