One of the events that I attended is Gathapraya! Do you know about Gathapraya? Or did you perhaps go to Gathapraya? Because this was an amazing event that SMAN 3 Bandung presented.
SMAN 3 Bandung always organizes a Cultural Festivals every year. Each year has a different theme. And this year the theme is about Indonesia's past culture and the future's. Will Indonesia's real culture fade?
This year's festival called Gathapraya. It is Anagatha and Abipraya that means A Hopeful Future. I like this concept because this concept blended out Indonesia's past or real culture and the future's. I know about the concept a lot because actually I was a part of the Decoration Team so I really had to know a lot about the concept or else I can't make the decoration. The mascot of Gathapraya itself is Cepot with his face half original and half robotic.

In this event, after I passed the selection to be the part of the committee, I was chosen to be the decoration team. I loved it because I love art. I did feel sad because I actually wanted to be the Publication team, but I never regret it until now! I also only helped for about 2 months because I was a new kid. I mean it was my first or second month at this school. So yeah.
I love this team because, they never see us as their junior, but their family. We often sharing with each other, joking around and worked together as one team. I was in the stage sub division. My job was to make the stage's decoration. But even though we split into some sub division, we still helped each other. That's what makes us a family. Now, lets put this aside and move to D-Day.
In the morning of the day, I still got many things to do because it was raining hard in the night. So we couldn't set the decoration yet. That was why we still got so many things to do in the morning. And we also had to fix the broken decoration that caused by the rain. And one decoration still about 10%, it was tunnel, so we had to finish it before the open gate.
This is Decoration Family!
At 12 o'clock, when the gate already opened, I though that I could relax and enjoy the event. But I still had to check out all of the decoration because they might fall or something. But I really enjoyed the event.
First in the morning about 9 o'clock, this event started with parade. It was traditional clothes parade that the student of SMAN 3 Bandung and some of kindergartens took part of it. When the parade arrived at Lapangan Bali, they took a bit rest and continued by the Fashion Show. I watched it and excited because I could see my friends, Karin and Nicolas, standing there as the participant. After it ended, I watched the opening and every welcoming speech and sang Indonesia Raya.
This is when we sang Indonesia Raya.

Then the real event started with some band performance. And here was the time that finally I could gathering with all of my junior high school's friends. We talked about many things and walked around the event to find something to eat. Then we sat to eat. After eating, me and some of my friends went to some tend. It was a pottery tend. We visited it because they also offered free face painting. I really love face paint so I decided to put some on my face. So I got my face painted with a pink flower in it. After that, we went back to the stage and watched another performance. One of my favorite was the 'Kolaborasi Eskul' 's performance. Why? Because they really combined a few extracurricular and it was lit! Ah, I forgot to mention, there were also some of live painting that were really dope! How can they did that so fast, right?
This is me and my friends with our face painted.
This is one of the live painting result
Then one by one all the guest star already performed. This event actually got many guest star! From Elephant Kind, OSD ITB, Vina, Giri Harja, HiVi, Didik Nini Thowok, Nidji and many more. Did you ever hear about Giri Harja? He is a talented young dalang! Dalang is the one that played wayang. OSD ITB performed really funny with their funny costumes. And I was really happy when I finally watched Sand Art right in front of my eyes. It was amazing! Vina can actually drawing with sand that's really cool! There was also cabaret performed by T'ST that really exciting! The story was about Gathapraya itself!

Last, In the peak of the event. Didik Nini Thowok performed, with his dance. It was traditional but also modern. I really loved it! It was beautiful yet funny, that's why I loved it. Then the group that is really famous nowadays, HiVi, performed. They are so young and energetic! And also good looking lol. Everyone seems enjoyed their performance. And last but not least, Nidji, the old but still everyone's favorite, performed with his energetic song! Everyone were jumping and hoping happily. It was really lit! Unfortunately, I couldn't join singing because my voice was gone. So I just jumping happily.
This is HiVi Performance
This is the lit Nidji.
Nidji was the last performance. It ended at 23.00 and everyone went home. I also went home after some talked with the other committees.
Cool isn't it?
That is all my story about Gathapraya! I really love this event, and if I could turn back time, I want to come to this event once again. So see you next event!
